You Thought This One Was Going Somewhere

There was real potential there. The conversation came easy, and for a few weeks you let yourself picture it.

Then the replies got shorter. And it went nowhere, without a reason.

Back to the apps, where an hour of swiping leaves you flatter than when you started.

Your thumb knows the routine by heart. It looks so easy for everyone else.

So you’ve started auditing yourself: your looks, your job, whether you want it too much or not enough.

The verdict is always the same: the problem must be you.

You’re in a Relationship and Still Not Sure

Or the question sits closer to home.

You’re with someone, and it hasn’t gone quiet: is this the right one?

Some weeks feel settled. Others leave you insecure and negotiating with yourself. You’ve asked your friends so many times you’ve stopped asking.

Time passes, and you aren’t sure what the right thing to do is. Do you commit further, or do you move on? Both questions lead to the same place.

Your Dating Question Is a Door Into an Older One

What brings you in sounds like a dating problem.

Underneath sits a belief you formed long ago about whether you’re someone people choose and stay with.

It was in place well before this app, this partner, or this decade. And it’s been quietly collecting evidence for itself ever since.

It edits how you read a slow reply. It talks you into staying too long, or leaving before anyone can leave you first.

Your earliest bonds taught you what to expect from people, and part of our work is following that thread back.

The dating advice you’ve read never reaches down that far.

How We’ll Hold That Belief Up to the Evidence

We’ll start with what you want. Your goals, your values, and whether your daily life points anywhere near them.

Then we go after the belief itself, using a technique called the downward arrow.

When a painful thought turns up, something like “he pulled away because I’m too much,” I’ll ask what it would mean about you if it were true.

Then I’ll ask the same question about your answer. And again, until we reach the sentence at the bottom, the one that’s been running the whole time.

Then we set your real life beside it. The friendships that lasted. The people who chose you and stayed. Held up against that, the sentence gets harder to believe.

You’ll Practice the Conversations Before You Have Them

The next part happens out loud.

We’ll role-play the conversation you’ve been rehearsing for weeks. The one where you say what you want, or ask your partner the question you keep circling.

You’ll try it here first, with someone in your corner. Then you’ll take it into your week and report back.

One Honest Note About How Long This Takes

This work runs long, often a year or more.

Old beliefs give ground slowly, and they ask two things: an open mind when they get challenged, and a willingness to retire a strategy that hasn’t worked.

That is a long time, and it is also what makes the change last.

Bring Me the Question You Keep Circling

You can have a life that feels congruent with what you truly want. Whole, self-compassionate, and content while moving forward.

The dating part gets easier once the belief underneath it loses its grip. If you stay with your person, you’ll know why you’re staying. If you go, you’ll go without another two years of deliberating first.

Whichever version of this you’re living, bring it to me as it is.

Fifteen minutes is enough to tell me what you’re after and hear how I’d work with it.

Let Yourself Be Understood

Things don’t have to keep feeling this way. There is hope, and there is help.

There’s a version of 3 a.m. where the missing sits quietly beside you instead of swallowing the night. That version starts with one honest conversation.
